Saturn Arms Apartment Complex, the pool

11:00 pm

“Did you see that? Right there, on the bottom of the pool!”  Sara pointed her index finger, leaning close to Catherine.

Catherine squinted her eyes, flicked on her flashlight and moved it right where Sara was pointing.

“Yeah, looks like there’s something glowing.”

“Should we get it? “

“I think we should“ Catherine replied

“And who’s going in the water?“ Sara asked again.

Catherine shrugged “Not me. “

Sara glared at her.

“Just got my period. “  she said and Sara nodded.

“So,.. “

“That leaves you and him. “ Catherine lifted her chin and pointed at the grey haired man strolling at the other end of the pool : Grissom.

Before Sara opened her mouth and voiced her question, Catherine was already waving her hand at Grissom, until he looked up at her.  He arched an eyebrow at her.

“Hey, Gil, Sara found something on the bottom of the pool. “

“Did you get it? “

“Not yet. “

“It might be evidence, and if the filter sucks it in, it could destroy.... “ his voice trailed off when Catherine cut him off.

“Ok, Sara or you?“ she asked, glancing at both Sara and Grissom.

“And you?”

“Well, I can’t.” Catherine shook her head, and whispered to Grissom, “It’s ‘that time of the month’.”

Grissom slowly exhaled, his mouth pouted and stared at the pool.  He never liked a cold shower much less a dive into a cold pool in the night; his bones wouldn’t take that kind of torture.  He thought about the chances that Sara would likely to volunteer.  It was a very selfish thought, he decided.

Standing next to him, Sara had her arms folded over her chest and was weighing her decision, when an idea came to her.

“I’ll try catching it with a net!“ Sara exclaimed.

Sara left them and disappeared into the building.  A minute later she came back carrying a long poll with a net on the other end. She hoped her idea worked so neither of them would be going into the pool on this cool breezy night.  She squatted and lowered the poll into the water.  She tried a few times, but the evidence refused to be caught.

“Someone has to pick it up!“ she grunted, her eyes closed.

A few seconds of silence was all she needed for her anger and frustration to be exacerbated.  She couldn’t wait anymore.  She peeled off her jacket.

“Fine, I’ll get it myself!“ as she growled while pulling off her vest and took off her shoes as well.  She exchanged glances with Catherine for a moment.  A pair of tight jeans and white tank top was all she wore when she dove into the cool water, nothing less.

Grissom and Catherine stepped back as water from the pool spilled onto the damp tiles.  They saw Sara dive into the deep end of the pool and grabbed the piece of the evidence off of the bottom.  She emerged a moment later, and pulled herself up from the water.

“All wet “ she grumbled, brushing off her wet hair that covered her face and flapping her hands to the side.

Jiggling sound came from the evidence she gripped in her palm.

Water was dripping from the top of her head to the tips of her now limp hair, down to her long neck and straight shoulders encased by her white tank top, and between her two rounded breasts.

Grissom shifted uncomfortably as his gaze dropped to Sara’s chest.  The white shirt didn’t help covered her dark nipples as the cool air of the night seeped through her wet body.  He could see goose bumps forming on her glistening skin.  She approached him mindlessly, her eyes still focused on the shiny gold chains dangling on her finger.  Suddenly, he felt tense and flustered.  Sweats trickled down his beard.  He cleared his throat very loudly until Catherine eyed him sharply.

“Looks like I found a bracelet.  Here.” she croaked, managed to catch her breath, and then handed the piece of jewelry to a stiff Grissom.  He took it from her shaking hand.  There she was shivering from the coldness, yet he stood there in front of her, feeling hot and bothered.  He tried to put up a smile on his face, without letting his eyes wandered to the place below her neck.

“Sara! “ Catherine called.  She grabbed the nearest dry towel she could find, and then tossed it to Sara.

“Thanks, Cath.“

As she covered herself, she realized something and her eyes widened in fury. ‘Shit, I forgot to wear my bra.’  Her face reddened and she tightened her grips on the towel, but she didn’t bother with her wet hair.

Embarrassment and anger flooded her thoughts.  Only a moment before, she felt triumphant at her finding.  She didn’t notice that the white tank top she was wearing would become transparent once in contact with water and stick to her skin.  She felt like a girl in a wet T-shirt contest.

“You should get a change of clothes“ Grissom spoke as he put the bracelet inside of the evidence bag.  His voice was low and husky, but it carried a more commanding tone.

“Yeah, sure!“ Sara nodded, not looking him straight in the eye.  She grabbed her dry clothes and shoes as she walked pass him, trying to remain calm and cool, “I’ll be right back. “

“Take your time.“ Catherine said, as Sara ran off to the parking lot.

Grissom continued to study the jewelry at hand, but he knew he couldn’t take his mind off of the images of Sara in a wet transparent shirt, her upper body so exposed to his sight.  He felt stiff in part of his lower body. ‘God, I must get over this’.  He shifted again, moving his feet slightly, hoping to make more room for his aroused member.

“So, find any hidden initials on it? “ Catherine’s question snapped his mind back to the task at hand.  Grissom quickly checked on the bracelet.  The tiny clasp had some kind of inscription, but nothing prominent.  He lowered the evidence so she could take a look for herself. The light from her flashlight made the bracelet glow.

“Maybe.  We should take this back to the lab. “ He answered.

“Hope so” she sighed. “I bet there’s something hidden in there too. “

She swung the flashlight, and it illuminated through the evidence bag to the front of Grissom’s pants.  Catherine smiled playfully and strode away, quickly disappearing before his widened eyes and opened mouth.

‘ Ugh, I’m so busted ‘
